Product Description
The box only you can open!
'This treasure chest is ideal for passing around at parties etc.; people seem to be fascinated by the fact that it is so easy when shown, but with no apparent tools needed, it confuses everyone.' Tony.
Imagine this. A banknote or some chocolate coins are inside this transparent box. A spectator is given this challenge - Open the box, and the contents are yours! They can try, but they'll never discover the secret. Yet, in your hands, it opens within seconds.
DiFatta's Treasure Chest is a challenging puzzle and frustrating fun. Don't be surprised when someone refuses to return the box as they are determined to open it!
This was of Paul Morley's favourite tricks. Paul used this extensively in schools, giving students 30 seconds (with a countdown) to try and open the box. His instructions were, 'Try and open it without bashing, smashing or cracking the box' after one lad stomped on it to get at the money inside! One Christmas, he put his kid's Christmas money inside the box and told them they had to figure out how to open the box to get their money!
Use this as a running gag in a show by inviting each volunteer who joins you on stage to 'have a go'. Seal a spectator's ring or watch in the box and ask someone else to try and open it to 'win the prize inside!' It's a fun challenge to set any group to solve. Makes the perfect illustration for any talk about earthly and heavenly treasures. 'The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure hidden in a field' Matt 13:44

Review
"A staple for my Christenings is to have this clear box with a red foam heart inside. I tell everyone how God has put a heart to love inside all of us and the secret is to be able to release the love into the world. Living a loving life is harder than you think, so I then bring the children forward – open the box and then pass it along. No-one ever can! Through his life Jesus has shown us the way to live a life of love for others, that’s why we follow his example. If the kids want to know how it’s done, I just ask them if they can keep a secret. If they say yes, I simply reply “so can I”. I don’t want the routine spoilt by someone who has been there before! It’s inexpensive but I have had such value from it on many occasions. Fully recommend." - Paul Peverell
