Five volunteers secretly take a different coloured bauble from a cloth bag. You magically reveal which 'Wise Man' is holding the gold bauble. A fun Nativity themed trick for any Christmas service or school assembly.
The Wisest Choice starts with five volunteers joining you at the front; each one is given a glittering jewelled crowns to wear. They're now the five Wise Men / Women on their way to visit the Christ child. Wise Men need gifts to bring. Luckily you have your Christmas gift bag, and inside are five coloured baubles. Each Wise Man secretly takes one bauble from the bag and hides it behind their back. No one knows which colour bauble they're holding; not you, not the audience, not even the Wise Men.
Each gift is important, but who has the gold bauble, the most precious gift of all? That's the mystery. But using your 'magical powers' you're able to find out. One by one you eliminate four of the Wise Men. As each bauble is revealed the colours are used to illustrate the Nativity story; Silver for the Christmas star, Purple for the new born king, Ever-Green for the promise of everlasting life and Red for God's love. 'For God so loved the world he sent his only son.' (John 3:16).
Finally, there are only one Wise Man left and you've correctly discovered the one hiding the gold 'Gold is a gift fit for the new born king'. A magical ending for a miraculous story, the birth of God's Son.
