'I went through a phase of trying to find the best version of a Torn and Restored newspaper effect, as soon as I found this I stopped looking. This really is the best version I've come across- it's easy, reliable and very visual.'
The 'No Tear' Torn & Restored Newspaper trick is a fabulous piece of magic that you'll be able to do almost right out of the packet.
The effect is simple but stunning. One by one you show 8 pieces of torn newspaper and read a topical joke from some of the pieces. You gather the pieces up, pause and, with a flick of the wrist, the pieces are restore into a full newspaper. Magic doesn't come more visual or more powerful.
Practically self working. The paper can be shown both back and front. A professional effect that anyone can perform with just a little practice. The trick comes with newspaper and is ready to go, but the gimmick can be easily put into any other paper, from a tabloid to a broadsheet, from a comic to the Church Times.
It's very easy to do, has in-built comedy and is extremely visual, plus it takes up hardly any room in your case. Unlike almost every other version of this classic effect, there is absolutely no preparation in between shows and with care, you won't need to replace the newspapers for a long time. This is another winning illusion from Mark Mason.
Makes a very powerful gospel illustration. Show the torn newspaper and ask 'Have you seen the news...they've crucified Jesus.' Read out some comments from the torn pieces...comments that Jesus' friends and enemies may have said. Pause and say 'But that's not the end of it.' And then restore the newspaper and talk about the resurrection and the good news.
This trick comes complete with a full instructional DVD that takes you through everything step by step and a pre-prepared newspaper.
