Product Description
'If you want laughs and a great trick in one, then go for this. The insurance policy, in my mind, is the greatest piece of comedic magic out there.' Mitchell
'This was one of the first effects I ever did, and it kills. I think we sometimes get so caught up in the latest/greatest that we forget that simple truly is often best.' Samuel
The Magician's Comedy Insurance Policy takes the 'magician in trouble' comedy premise to a whole new level. We guarantee the laughter will build and build (but read the Policy's small print first!)
This is the original routine, and it hasn't been bettered. Perform with one specatator or three spectators for three times the fun. With this amount of entertainment, it's probably the best value in comedy magic.
With One Spectator - A card is chosen and lost in the deck. The magician names the card...and gets it wrong. Oops. 'I have insurance for just this situation' and brings out their 'Magician's Insurance Policy. The terms and Conditions are read out.'The magician must be performing with a full deck of cards and is entitled to a second and third chance of finding the card.' The policy is opened to reveal a printed card. 'Was this your card? No!' The policy is opened to reveal a second larger card. (Wrong again!) Finally, the policy is unfolded to reveal a HUGE replica of the spectator's chosen card - The King of Diamondss! 'Sucess and worth every penny!'
With Three Spectators - Three spectators each selects a card, remembers it and returns it to the deck. After failing to find the selected cards, the magician takes out their 'Insurance Policy'. 'Don't worry, I'm covered for this!' and as the policy is unfolded, it reveals the spectator's cards one by one, the Ten of Hearts, the Three of Spades and the King of Diamonds - with a bigger and BIGGER image of the card.
Here's a good gag. When the policy is unfolded for the last time, the audience sees a replica of the correct card, but the magician's too busy reading the policy to notice they've got it right! Of course, the kids in the audience will quickly let you know!
