Product Description
Achieve the impossible by pushing two swords right through a balloon!
An ever popular effect - who doesn't like popping balloons!
EFFECT
Showing a tube clearly empty, the performer inflates a balloon and puts it inside. They show some plastic daggers and dramatically push them through the holes in the tube...right through the balloon! The daggers are removed, and the balloon is pulled out showing that the balloon is still intact.
PRESENTATION IDEAS
You can really build up the drama of this effect, getting the audience to cover their ears 'just in case' and pretending you are nervous about trying it (miming shaking as you insert the first dagger!) You can act just as surprised as the audience when the balloon doesn't pop.
If you do balloon modelling, this can be a great addition to your routine - you can use the same balloon to then make a balloon animal or sword then give this out as a souvenir.
New improved method!
In other versions of this trick, the audience can look inside the tube but with this the tube could even examined (along with the daggers, they are solid plastic and do not retract, bend or compress!) And yep, the balloon is ungimmicked - and only one balloon is used! A real fooler that is suitable for shows or walkaround work.
GOSPEL IDEAS
The swords when pushed into the tube create a cross! A good start or end to any biblcial message. Ideal effect for Easter to illustrate the verse 'he was pierced for our transgressions' Isaiah 53:5
Easter Story
Put the balloon in the can and start to blow it up. Explain that Jesus ministry started small but grew and grew until everyone knew about him. Why was this - because when someone came to him and said can you heal me can you forgive me he said I can and I will. Pointing to the metal can around the balloon.
The authorities decided they had to get rid of him and so they decided to nailed him for blasphemy. But something unexpected happened. They thought as they nailed him to the cross it would burst the Christian's bubble. At least his disciples would be deflated. But that plan went down like a lead balloon because 3 days later their plans blew up in their face as Jesus rose again. And everyone celebrated it was a party. And parties mean party poppers, cakes and balloons!
