Product Description
The fascination of an oversized lightbulb and the wonder of an endless stream of salt being poured from it. Is this a magic trick or an object lesson? It's undoubtedly an attention-grabbing illustration for Jesus teaching about being the light of the world and salt of the earth (Matt 5:13, 14)
First, the LARGE light bulb is introduced. 'We are called to be the light in the world. This should be big enough for everyone to see! But we are also called to be something else.' The bulb is tipped, and out the salt pours into a glass. 'Oh yes! We are also called to be the salt of the earth.'
Here's a fun presentation. Explain that this is a bulb from a lighthouse and guides ships to safety, just as the light of Christ guides us.(The problem is the sea is so salty the bulbs eventually fill with salt!
Invite a volunteer up to the front to hold the bulb and pour the salt into the glass for you. They'll be queuing up at the end to have a go.
This large gimmicked light bulb (7 inches high) is made from thick unbreakable glass. Salt not included.
