Product Description
Cut and restore a ribbon with this pocket size version of the classic parlour trick.
This intriguing object is made up of two blocks fixed at one end with a bolt. A ribbon is threaded through the other end. The performer shows how the ribbon runs freely through the block. A pen knife is inserted between the blocks and the ribbon cut. The blocks are parted to reveal the cut ends. The blocks are pushed back together and with a magic word you claim the ribbon is fully restored. Tah Da! Not convinced? You invite a spectator to pull on one end and, to everyone's surprise, the ribbon runs freely through the blocks, fully restored.
Have fun presenting this. Explain how this is a tool used by seamstresses to cut ribbons safely. You demonstrate by cutting the ribbon in half. 'But what happens when the ribbon is cut to the wrong length? Now you need a little magic!' You magically restored the ribbon. Now the seamtress has a second chance of cutting it to the correct length!
For a church worker this becomes a great way to show how sin breaks our relationship with God and faith in Christ restores it.
Self-working, instant reset. This will become your favourite pocket sized cut and restored routine.
Comes complete with Pillars of Solomon prop (5.5cm long) and written instructions. Use any pen knife or playing card to 'cut' the ribbon.
