Presentation Ideas
It’s important to let your know audience know you’re the entertainer, and it is said that people often make a judgement in the first few seconds. Especially if performing for children, it’s crucial to grab their attention straight away and we recommend flashy, visual magic like this. This sequence of effects has a ‘BAM, BAM, BAM’ effect – one great appearance after another, almost guaranteed to end in applause when the dove appears!
We suggest finding some appropriate music to enter to; something upbeat that suits your performing style. The right music can enhance this trio of tricks even further!
You could start a routine where you talk about trying to make a dove appear, and then magically produce a bar of soap (Dove brand soap!) before saying that the problem must be that you didn’t use a wand…the perfect opportunity to bring out this prop!
The dove is separate to the wand (not attached to start with) so can also be used on it's own - you could produce the dove from any production device - such as a change bag, mini drawer box or, of course, a dove pan (or the smaller chick pan) It's highly compressible so you can even produce it from your bare hands, or reach under a white silk and make it appear!
You can also use the wand separately, to sprinkle confetti as an added flourish to any magic trick. It's up to you whether you use all three effects at once, or pick and choose what you need!
