These two hinged Bamboo sticks each have a single cord. When a spectator pulls on the tassels nothing happens. But in your hands, the cords become magically linked. Pull down on one and watch the other rise up. Only you know the secret of making the connection.
This is easy-to-do magic with a fun prop that brings smiles to everyone faces (and leave them baffled).
The prop is small enough to carry in your pocket, but big enough to entertain the largest of audiences. And don't forget the magic words. Shout them out - 'BAMBOO BAMBOO!!'

PRESENTATION
A length of bamboo has a cord running through one end. When one tassel is pulled down, the other tassel goes up. 'How many pieces of cord do I have?' you ask. 'One' your volunteer says. 'That's what I thought, but when I opened it up I found it was two separate pieces.' The bamboo is opened up, revealing two separate cords. 'It's really puzzling. They're firmly tied to the ends. See for yourself.' When your volunteer pulls on one tassel, nothing happens.
'Perhaps we need to make an invisible connection.' A long hair is 'borrowed' from the volunteers head. 'Only the finest will do!' This is carefully wound around the ends of the two cords. When the volunteer now pulls one tassel down, the other tassel goes up
'That's all well and good. But what happens if I accidentally break the connection.' The hair is snapped, the volunteer is handed the bamboo and finds neither tassel will move.
'Not to worry. There's another way to fix it.' The bamboo is taken back and closed up. A single magic blow restores the cord. When one tassel is pulled the other now follows. 'You know what,' you say, 'I might be pulling this tassel, but I think someone has been pulling our leg!'

Use Bamboo! Bamboo! to show how sin has cut the connection between us and God. ‘Out sins have separated us from God.’ Isaiah 59:2 And how Jesus restored it through the cross.
'These tassels are connected to each, just like Adam and Eve were connected to God.' (Show by pulling on the tassel). 'But when they sinned' (open up the bamboo) the connection between people and God was severed.' (Pull on tassel to show that nothing happens).
'But through Jesus we can be reconnected to God. It's an invisible spiritual connectoin but still very real.' (Pull on the tassels to show how the are now linked). 'One day we will be in heaven.’ (Close the bamboo up). ‘The connection will be fully restored and we will be able to speak to God face to face.' (Pull on the tassels to show the connection).
