EFFECT
Blow up an ordinary round balloon. Tie the balloon to keep the air inside, and let an audience member handle the balloon to show that it is, indeed, an ordinary balloon. Take you special wand and pull out the long metal needle, and pierce one end of the balloon. It doesn't pop! Instead, you pass the needle right through to the other side of the balloon, and remove the needle. The balloon is STILL filled with air! Now hold the balloon in one hand, and POP it with the needle!
You can use an ordinary party balloon. A pack of 10 clear balloons are supplied with the trick, so your audience can more easily see the needle as it passes through the inside of the balloon. You can purchase extra balloons here.
PERFORMANCE IDEAS
If you are performing at a party, you can use one of their ordinary round party balloons. String a ribbon through the eye end of the needle. When you pass the needle all the way through the balloon, the ribbon will follow, making it easier for your spectators to see the trick. Also, you can pause the trick with the ribbon still inside the balloon, which makes it very dramatic.

PRO TIPS
To make sure that the needle works properly, it is recommended that you coat the point of it with a very thin coat of petroleum jelly (Vaseline) before each use. You can coat the needle tip when you are packing your show, and store the coated needle in the tube, so the petroleum jelly won't get all over everything. Also, after every few uses, file the point sharp again with a metal file. You want it to be very sharp and very smooth.
