Product Description
This unassuming pocket-size trick packs a punch as the red disk VISIBILY escapes from the sealed box.
The magician has a small box and three discs: two green and one red. The red disc is placed into the box with a green disc above and below it. The lid is placed on the box. There can be no escape for the red disc. Not only is it imprisoned inside the box but it's guarded by two green discs. However, this is the Houdini Disk, and like its namesake, no prison, no guards can hold him. The top of the box is given a tap, 'Time to escape Houdini' and incredibly, the red disc falls through the bottom of the box and onto the spectator's open palm! Impossible! The box is handed to the spectator, who opens the box and finds just two green discs inside. Exactly like Houdini, the red disc is an experienced escapologist.
You'll be delighted with the method; it's so ingenious. Worth the price of entry by itself. Practically self-working, quick reset and everything can be examined. Pop this into your pocket, and you have an impossible feat of escapology to show friends and family.
There are much more expensive metal versions of this, but DiFatta has done us proud by producing this colourful perspex version that performs the same effect at a fraction of the price. Designed as a close-up trick to show a small group of people, this can easily be used on stage or in a service with a spectator. Imagine the reaction as the red disk visibly falls from the box into their hands.
An impressive illustration for any message about escaping an impossible situation; Paul / Peter's miraculous escaping prison in Acts, or Jesus escaping death and leaving the tomb empty. (The yellow box is the tomb and the green discs are the soldiers who guarded it). Why not use it to show how God can set us free from impossible situations or illustrate how the Israelites passed safely through the Red Sea (the green discs standing for the walls of water on either side). Once you get this into your hands, you'll have fun coming up with your own presentation.
Houdini would have been proud to have his name on this pocket-sized wonder.
Comes complete with box, lid, red and green discs and illustrated instructions.
