The Energy Bar is electronic magic. Our favourite object lesson, BAR none. The tube lights up, buzzes and twinkles whenever a circuit is made, with one, two or twenty people.
The performer introduces a clear tube, capped with two silver ends and invites the audience to guess what it is. Asking for a volunteer, the performer holds one end of the tube and asks the volunteer to hold the other. Nothing happens, and the audience are understandably underwhelmed! But then, the performer reaches out their other hand and asks the volunteer to hold it. The instant the hands touch, a connection is made and the tube lights up, flashes and buzzes!
Hold the two ends to make it flash and buzz...
The effect can then be repeated with a whole group of people, with the very last person – the furthest away from the Energy Bar – completing the circuit! Teamwork makes the dream work.
Kids of all ages from 4 to 84 love it – a fun prop with an electrifying message.
PRESENTATION IDEAS
Use this in your act as a hi-tech magic wand. It buzzes and lights up when the magic happens. At Christmas use it to measure magic in the air or Christmas cheer in festive shows. Use it in a mind reading routine as a way to create a mental connection. The bar lets you ‘tune in’ to your volunteer’s thoughts. Buzz, flash, buzz, flash! How's that for a brainwave?!
