EFFECT
A coin signed by a spectator magically vanishes. The magician shows a closed box sealed with elastic bands. Inside there is a second box also sealed with elastic bands. Inside that box there is a small tied bag. The spectators won't believe their eyes when they open the bag and inside it find their own signed coin!

The signed coin safely hidden inside reminds us of two verses. 'For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God.' Col 3:3 and 'God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.' Psalm 43:1
Borrow a coin and have the volunteer sign it, pointing out that this coin now represents them. The coin disappears and is found safely hidden inside the box and bag; just as our lives are safely hidden in Christ. As you remove the elastic bands explain how the boxes and bags each represent a different aspect of God e.g. his love, his protection and his forgiveness.
