THE EFFECT
Two coins are borrowed, a two pence piece and a penny. 'Thank you for your kind donation!' The two pence piece is placed onto a small metal plate and covered with an inverted drinking glass.
'The coin is now sealed behind a wall of glass.' The penny is tapped against the bottom of the glass, Tink - Tink - TINK! and the coin instantly and visibly penetrates the bottom of the glass, dropping next to the two pence piece on the plate.
PRESENTATION IDEAS
Perform this effect for larger audiences, such as school assemblies by inviting a volunteer to the front to witness the 'miracle' close up. Using a borrowed glass and borrow coins makes this effect all the more impossible.
