When this trick first came out it hit the magic community like a whirlwind, thanks to its mix of mentalism and an impossible escape. A very popular pocket trick thanks to the intriguing props and high level of spectator involvement.
A spectator secretly chooses one of five different coloured brass discs and places them into a brass cylinder, which is closed and sealed. A cord is threaded through the cylinder, including the holes in each disc. The spectator now reveals the colour of their disc. The cylinder is opened and the spectator's disc falls into their hand, leaving all the other discs hanging on the cord. It's an impossible escape of the thought of coloured disc!
