Product Description
Take your audience on a wild goose chase with the Daytona Traffic Light trick.
The audience thinks they've caught you cheating, and all the time you're just stringing them along. No-one will be expecting the two surprises at the end.
A great mix of comedy and magic that will fast become one of your go to tricks. Perfect for school assemblies, church services, youth groups and parties. A self-working, flat-pack, entertaining, 'oh-no-it-isn't' 'oh-yes-it-is' trick.
EFFECT
You have 3 large cards, each with a colour spot - red, green and amber. The cards are placed into an envelope. You click your finger and announce, 'One of the cards has disappeared. Can you guess which one?' The red spot card is taken out. Then the green spot card. 'The amber light has disappeared. Tah Dah!'
No-one is fooled. 'It's still in the envelope,' the audience shout. 'Oh no it isn't,' you say. 'Oh YES it is,' they shout back. You pull out the card and the audience see they were wrong. After all, the words WRONG are printed on the card!
'The amber light is on the back,' some one shouts. 'OK, I'll turn the card around' and you turn it clockwise, which almost causes a riot. After much comedy by-play you reluctantly show the other side. Printed on the back is WRONG AGAIN! leaving the audience utterly baffled.
Paul 'proving' that his folder is 'empty'. Where did that card come from? Nope, it's the WRONG card.
PRESENTATION IDEAS
Put the cards into a paper bag. Now you can do the 'holding the bag upside down but holding the card inside' gag, when you claim the bag is 'empty'.
Paul uses a folder in his presentation - allowing the card to accidentally peak-out from one side for a look-don't-see moment, that sends the audiences wild.
GOSPEL PRESENTATION
Watch Paul Morley's full biblical message, using Daytona Traffic Lights in the video above. Exclusive to Mission Magic
Paul starts his presentation by showing the cards and saying 'Road traffic lights are there to protect us. God also has his traffic lights. The green light reminds us about the good things he says go and do. The red light tells of the things that he says don't do. The amber light warns us to be careful in a situation.'
'Some things are good to do. It's good to go to church and pray. Other things God wants us to stop doing such as bad mouthing people. Other things God gives us a warning about. This could go badly wrong.'
Paul then pretends to make the card vanish, and is finally forced to reveal, to everyone's surprise, the Wrong and Wrong Again card. 'You were mistaken about the amber card. That's why we need to follow God's warnings. Otherwise, we will keep on being wrong and wrong again.'
