Product Description
A brilliant close up penetration trick. A coin melts through a sheet of glass inside a box. Everything can be examined.
This beautifully crafted teak box does all the work for you, letting you focus on your stunning presentation! Slip this into your pocket for close up. Or use it on stage with a volunteer, letting the coin fall to the floor with a CLINK!
A beautifully made prop you'll be proud to own. An unforgettable illustration to use in any message about money.
EFFECT:
The Performer takes out a small wooden box. It has a slit on the top and bottom. A small sheet of plexiglass is placed inside. It fills the bottom of the box from edge to edge, making any penetration impossible.
The box is shut and closed. A coin is borrowed and marked with a Sharpie. The Performer drops the coin through the slit in top of the box and, as impossible as it sounds, the coin passes through the plexiglass and falls out of the bottom slit.
The Performer opens the box to be examined. The plexiglass still fills the bottom of the box, covering the slit.
PRESENTATION IDEA
Have some fun developing your own unique presentation. Turn it into a 'sword-in-the-stone' test. Show the plexiglass plate and explain that the only that can pass through the box, belong to very special people! For a jaw dropping revelation, reveal the plexiglass sheet at the very end. For a fun 'Do-As-I-Do' routine, allow your coin to pass through, but not the one belonging to your volunteer. Of course they manage it in the end.
GOSPEL IDEAS
An outstanding effect to drive home any message about money. You won't be short of material. There are over 2,300 verses about money in the Bible! Here are three to get you started.
- The Widow's Mite - 'Out of her poverty put in all the livelihood that she had.' Luke 21:4
- Paying Taxes to Caesar - 'Give back to Caesar what is Caesar's and to God what is God's.' Mark 12:17
- Parable of the Lost Coin - ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.’ Luke 15:9
Focus to the impossibility of penetrating the glass, and you now have an illustration of the barrier of sin between us and God, and how only Jesus can break it. 'What will it profit a man if he gains the wealth of the whole world and forfeits his soul?' Matt 16:26
Stop and think about this:
- The glass square cannot move inside the box to make the penetration possible.
- Only one coin is used - and can be signed - no duplicates.
- Everything can be examined before and after.
Impossible? No. Ingenious? Yes! Coin of the Realm. Could there be a more baffling coin trick?
Comes complete with: Handcrafted teak box, plexiglass and written instructions.
