A clever candle card trick that we could ‘wax’ lyrical about!
The magician displays three cards, two showing lit candles and one unlit. The cards are sandwiched together and a lighter is introduced and waved underneath. Flipping the cards back, now ALL THREE candles are lit! Alternatively, the magician displays three cards with three pictures of lit candles. The cards are sandwiched together, and a spectator is asked to blow in between them. Turning the cards over, the middle candle is now extinguished!
These are LARGE Red Bicycle Cards (A6 size) - small enough to size to slip into your pocket but BIG enough to a performance for a group of people. No sleight of hand needed - perfect for beginners.
The theme of candles lends itself to many different presentations. This is an idea trick for birthday parties, you can have the children practice blowing out the birthday cake candles. Only one of them goes out so you can “That’s good, but you’ll have to blow much harder on the real cake!”
