Show a glass of red water...which symbolises the cleansing blood of Jesus. Hand out some slips of paper and ask people to write down a sin that concerns them personally. 'This spy paper is brilliant! We had a Café-style worship with about 70 folk sat around 9 tables. The Confession/Absolution featured a bowl of hot water on each table, into which people dropped and stirred their slips of “confession” (Regrets, sadness, disappointments etc from 2016) - handing them over to Jesus. I gave my remaining supplies of this paper to a lady afterwards who wanted to use it with Messy Church, so it looks like I shall have to order more for next time!' Revd Stephen Froggatt
