Third Time Lucky - Making the flower appear on your third attempt gets an enthusiastic audience response. First, pretend to drop a seed into the pot and say the magic word. Nothing happens. Second time pick up the wand and wave it over the pot. Nothing happens. Third and final time you have everyone say the magic word, and as you wave the wand the flower appears.
With a Little Help - Always great fun to have a volunteer 'help' you grow the flower. Give your helper a pair of oversized gardening gloves and a hat to wear 'Gotta keep you clean.' Ask them to water the seed with the 'invisible watering can.' Hand then a breakaway wand for extra fun and finally have your volunteer wave the wand and make the flower appear. 5 minutes of interactive magical fun.
Why won't you Grow? - Make this a running gag that you come back to throughout your show until, at the end, it blooms!
