The performer weaves his magic and the wooden side table starts to rise up. Held only by the very corners of the tablecloth the table rises majestically, dancing around the performer and defying gravity before coming down for a gentle landing. Jaw dropping magic. Pro Tips:
Usually performed to music, the Floating Table can be a real showstopper and reputation maker. A little practice is needed to master the handling, but it's well worth the effort to create a breath taking stage illusion that also packs small and travels light.
An alternative is to use it as a comedy routine. Place a silk hankie on the table and say you are going to make it float. Instead the whole table lifts up and flys out of control off stage/out of the room!
