THE EFFECT
The Performer shows the prop. 'What do you think this is? I call it my Thingamajig. It does something really amazing and I've never figured out how it works. Look let me show you!'
The pole goes behind the Performer's back for a moment. 'Look! The Red cube has jumped to the other side of the pole! Isn't that amazing?' The audience thinks not. The adults exchange glances. The children shout out their suspicions. The Performed looks surprised. 'No. I'm sure it works by magic. Look I'll do it again.'
The pole goes behind the Performer's back for a moment. 'See! The Red cube has jumped back. Amazing!' The kids shout out 'You're turning it round!' The penny drops for the Performer. He slaps his head with the palm of his hand 'Oh. You mean I've been fooling myself all this time! I'm just turning it around behind my back?'
The pole goes behind the Performer's back and now appears with the red cube in the middle. The kids go wild and the adults eyes widen in surprise. The Performer has a wide grin on their face. 'Now that's what I call magic!'
Everything can be examined at the end. A fun effect with LOTS of audience interaction. A presentation that you can stamp your own personality onto.
GOSPEL PRESENTATION
Paul Morley's uses the Jumping Cubes to teach about putting God at the centre of our lives. Paul starts his presentation saying 'There are 3 cubes on this bar. One yellow cube represents us. The other yellow cube our parents. The red cube represents God. For a lot of people God is left on the outside. But that's not where God wants to be. He wants to be right in the middle. So I'm going to make this red cube jump into position.'
The prop goes behind his back and the cube 'jumps' from one end to the other. 'Impressed? But not as impressed as you will be!' and around Paul's back it goes, the cube 'jumping' into its original place. Paul then explains that the reason it's not in the middle, is because everyone forgot to say the magic words, PLEASE & THANKYOU. Behind his back it goes, and this time the cube jumps into the middle. 'And that's where God should be in our lives. Right in the centre.'
A baffling but oh-so-easy-to-do effect. This a packs small and play-big, making it ideal for beginners and professional magicians. Colourful fun magic for all ages.
Comes complete with: Customised metal rod with orange end, yellow and red foam cubes and written instructions including Paul Morley's original routine.
